What to Pack in a School Lunch for Kids
Aug 7, 2015
I was asked by a reader to make a post about what to pack in a school lunch.
As you know, our kids are school age and they only want to pack sometimes because 98% of the time, they eat school breakfasts and lunches with their friends.

Thanksgiving this year was spent at my in laws' house
Nov 28, 2014
What did your families do for Thanksgiving this year?
We went to my in laws house and ate. Our nieces and one nephew were there, so our kids were really happy to have them to play with. It was pretty fun. When we first got there, we got to watch a bit of the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade! I love watching the parade, and would love to go in person someday to see it in NYC.
My husband and son (almost 7) made about 7 pumpkin pies on Wednesday night, and were up off and on until 1am checking on them! We took all but 3 with us, so we can enjoy some pies here at home, with cool whip of course! We had bought a big can of pumpkin mix, so we had to use it up by making multiple pies, but we still have pie mix leftover to make more with.

Kindergarten for my son
Apr 1, 2014
My son is 6 and he started kindergarten in August 2013. He really does love it and enjoys his teacher who is very sweet. He rides the bus to school every morning at 6:55am (too early if you ask me) and gets the bus from school to the daycare I work at after 2:30pm. On Fridays, his papa (my dad) goes to eat lunch with him at school and he LOVES that! I did until my hours at work changed and now I am unable to as my time starts at 11am. It's fun to see him interact with his friends at school though! He goes to the same elementary school that my mom went to as a kid, so that's pretty cool.
Christmas Guide: Thermos Products
Dec 8, 2013
*Disclaimer - I received the products in this post from Thermos in order to facilitate this review for my readers.
Review of the items received:
My kids and I absolutely love all of the items that we received from the great company known as Thermos. They sent a thermos and purse for my daughter, thermos cup and lunchbox for my son, and a snack holder thermos for myself. We get a lot of use out of all items below on a very regular basis, to use for work, school, and daycare lunches. They are all very nice quality products and are very compact and easy to manage. My son loves his 2 compartment Spiderman lunchbox and shows it off at school sometimes. My daughter uses her purse to carry all of her lip glosses and beauty items she has at home. As a lot of girls do, she loves Doc McStuffins, so she uses the thermos for soup or fruits to take in her lunch at daycare. The best recommended drink to put in the thermos cup is juice, water, or milk.
