*Disclaimer - I got the opportunity to participate in the Rugrats Press Junket via Zoom video, so these questions and answers in this post are ones that I was able to ask within my group to each set of talent/cast.
Are you excited about the new Rugrats series? You'll love this junket Q&A!
I was absolutely thrilled when I found out that I'd be able to be part of the Rugrats press junket on May 12 with several sets of talent/cast of the new series, including several who were part of the original show!To say that this was an amazing opportunity is an understatement. It was an awesome time and I learned a lot.
1. What are your top 2 favorite things about playing the parts of the original voices in Rugrats that so many of us grew up watching and loved, being the kids Angelica and Tommy?
EG Daily (Tommy) - Love being back working playing the part of Tommy. I appreciate being able to play the part again so many years later. He's authentic and cares about people. He's kind, not bossy.
Cheryl Chase (Angelica) - Her personality - she loves. She's a firecracker, steam engine in overalls. Love playing her part.
2. What age group do you recommend for watching this Rugrats series, with parents like myself who has kids of several different age groups ranging from 13 to toddler age, but wanting them to enjoy and understand the show?
Ashley Rae Spillers - Kids of all ages will love it with their parents, and it's got a little adult humor the parents will enjoy but kids humor that everyone will love.
Tommy Dewey - There's a lot of good visual humor in it. Explore the screen with all the various details in it. Everyone will enjoy it on some level or another.
3. Will it take me back to my childhood from being a big fan of Rugrats, with the series?
Timothy Simons - I think it will as it is the original cast, even if you haven't seen the show in awhile. It builds kids imaginations up, and will bring everyone back. It's coming up on 30 years!
Omar Miller - Fully concurs and agrees with everything Timothy said.
4. What was it like being back as part of a big family again with this new Rugrats series for those of you who are originals and what's it like being part of the series as a whole?
Nancy Cartwright (Chuckie) - Had its run, had a big gap, then so many things have changed and now are bringing it back. Being part of this iconic show. What a great opportunity. Incredible.
Cree Summer (Susie Carmichael) - Heaven on earth. Like hanging out with your favorite people. An absolute delight.
Kath Soucie (Phil and Lil) - More life for them to live. Exciting to be part of this new opportunity; grateful and inspired.
I'm excited about this new series!
ReplyDeleteI have seen every episode more times than I can remember but I have to admit it was a good show.
