Enjoying Family Time More with some Holiday Chocolate Chip Cookies

My husband is big on baking, especially when it comes to COOKIES for the holidays, between November and early January. We love to make lots of cookies, as well as eat them and share with family at get togethers, and friends too! 


This is the remaining cookie dough I had leftover from my previous post and wanted to share it with you guys! It made about 3 1/2 dozen cookies or so I think.


Well, this year he has not started yet baking wise due to working more right now so I wanted to do this recipe myself and see how it turned out! I had a lot of fun doing this post for our family, as well as you, my readers and hope you enjoy it and will give the recipe a try.

Toll House Recipe for Holiday Chocolate Chip Cookies



Ingredients Needed:
2 1/4 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking aoda
1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
3/4 cup packed brown sugar 
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract 
2 large eggs
1 2/3 cups (10 oz package) Nestle' Toll House Holiday Morsels 
*optional* 1 cup chopped nuts



Directions for baking these Holiday Chocolate Chip Cookies:
1. Pre-heat the oven to 350
2. Mix the flour, baking soda, and salt in a small bowl 
3. Beat the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract in a large bowl until creamy
4. Add the eggs, one at a time so you are beating them well
5. Gradually, add in the flour mixture and beat it all in the large bowl
6. Mix in the 10 oz package of morsels
7. Put dough on spoon or however you prepare your cookies on the cookie sheet, and bake for 7 - 9 minutes.
8. ENJOY!!
