Our daughter is almost eight and has always wanted a lava lamp. I found this lamp and wanted to get it for her, so I got one for review. She has fun watching it as it's clearly very glittery.
This one has the ability to allow your child to draw on the chalkboard portion. She loves to draw, so she's had fun with that part of it. It's good to be a nightlight as well, but I wouldn't really recommend letting it stay turned on all night long, just because it can get really hot if you do.
