I breastfeed my 7 month old, but used Parent's Choice with my older two children. I received samples and gave them to a good friend of mine for her daughter. I highly recommend Parent's Choice for formula in babies.
Parent’s Choice products, found exclusively at Walmart, are as nutritious and safe as national brands at an affordable price. They have several different types of formulas to choose from.
We are not here to argue about Formula Vs. Breast Milk. This post will offer a safe space for parent’s to share information and discuss common feeding questions. Just because we’re talking about formula, doesn’t mean we aren’t supporting breastfeeding. Pediatricians say breastfeeding is best for babies and Parent’s Choice supports that.
Is it okay to wake a sleeping baby to feed him or her?
I would say if the baby is over his or her birth weight that you don't necessarily need to wake baby up for feedings, but that it's a good idea to not let baby sleep past 4 hours or so for the first two months of baby's life, at night.
What's a good way to sterilize bottles?
I formula fed my older two kids so I had a lot of bottles to wash with their feedings, all day and evening. I found it easier to get a bottle brush for cheap at Walmart and get a baby friendly soap for dishes to clean the bottles out with very hot water.
I didn't have a dishwasher at the time, so that wasn't an option for me but it's safe to wash most bottles in the dishwasher. Just make sure that you check the packaging to be sure before doing so.

Gosh, I'm out of the formula stages now. But it sure can add up. Glad there are affordable options!
ReplyDeleteWe never had the chance to use Parent's Choice because my sons were both on special formula. But I would have been so grateful for a low cost alternative.
ReplyDeleteIt makes it so much easier on our budgets when we have affordable choices. This looks like a great one!
ReplyDeleteOh the things I wish I knew when I first had a child right. I would learn later it was okay to let them sleep in an hour, mine were all good birth weights. You know another thing I have learned is that price doesn't mean the best from formula, baby food to even diapers. It is one of those things you have to figure out for yourself and what works for your child. I had one son allergic to the nicer brand diapers and another was fine. I ended up breastfeeding all of them but had to use formula for my second one when she got a bad case of reflux. Love their prices.
