I have a different pump that I received from my insurance, but this one is a lot better in my opinion! I had originally bought this pump while I was pregnant, and then sold it when I found out that I could get one through my insurance. Well, I received this one and opened it to find that it's really simple to use and it's not at all hard to figure out the settings, tubing, or let down portion of the pump.
This pump is called the Signature Pro Double Electric Breast Pump and is $116.98 on Walmart's website. This pump is a really nice one, and the sound is very slim as it's a pretty quiet pump unlike many others that have a loud motor. This pump has 3 customizable pump settings for you to use. The pump's flanges are very soft to the touch, unlike some that are just hard plastic. I'll be using this pump from now on to make our son's bottles for night feeding.

This pump has a two phase technology that begins with a 2 minute stimulation phase that assists with let down. It will automatically switch to expression phase, or you can choose to switch earlier with a touch of a button. This pump is truly a great one, and the reason I say this is because with my other pump, it can take up to 3 minutes to get all of the milk to flow to the bottle; with this pump there's a button you can press that will express the milk and push the milk through to the bottle fairly quickly. I usually have to pump for 5 minutes to get 3 oz, but it only took 2 minutes or so for me to get 3 oz. I wish I would have kept the original one I bought before, because this one will get more milk out for me in a faster time than it has in the past 4 1/2 months.
This is an awesome pump! Two of my sisters in law JUST had their babies and one of them was talking about getting a good pump. I will tell her about this one.

ReplyDeleteA breast pump was a life saver for me when feeding the boys. Definitely a must for BF moms!
ReplyDeleteThis looks so much less cumbersome than the one I used with my daughter. Maybe we would have had better success with one like this.
