Why #SteelMatters To Me #CAS18

*Disclaimer - This is a sponsored post for A Girl's Guide to Cars for the Chicago Auto Show '18.

You probably enjoy cars and learning about them, right? I enjoy seeing/learning about them too. I love everything about them, not just being able to drive them.

This is my very first year attending the Chicago Auto Show and I'm very excited to see all of the new vehicles coming. Just looking at their website makes me really excited for next week. People who know their vehicles want to know how each one is really made, how well the engine is made, and knowing that their new vehicle is going to last them a long time.

I know for our family, my husband is very car smart, so he makes sure that the motor, transmission, etc are good and won't need to be replaced right away and test drives it before making the purchase. We don't buy brand new vehicles, but still the quality of each vehicle is very important to the buyer.

The one material I know they'll be interested in knowing it's made of is - steel.

You're probably asking yourself right now, why #SteelMatters to me? Well, while I'm at the Chicago Auto Show, you'll be able to follow along with the hashtag #SteelMatters on February 8 while I'm there learning about it - on social media.

So, keep an eye out on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook for information and photos with that hashtag to learn more. While I’m there, I will be learning how steel helps automakers improve fuel efficiency with more than 200 grades, some very lightweight yet super strong. Steel is the most recycled material in a car, and 100% of it can be recycled, so once a car has reached its end of life it can come back to serve again.

The steel industry has worked really hard to reduce emissions and pollution it produces the lowest emissions when produced when compared to alternative automotive materials. Here are some of the vehicles we will see, including the Honda Odyssey, RAM 1500 pick up truck, Nissan Kicks, and more!

I found the article quite intriguing about Auto Recycling is Driven by Steel .Some things that I’ve already learned are that choosing the perfect car / vehicle for your family is no easy task, but attending an auto show can help make the decision easier being able to see and learn more about the make and model that you want and need that meet your needs.

  3. I love car shows and am hoping to get to at least one this year. Lots of women are interested in cars and have a part in the purchase decision. I have equal or greater say in all of our major purchases particularly automobiles and love seeing all of the new models.

  6. This seems like an interesting event. I think my husband would really enjoy this. I'm not much for cars. To be honest I haven't put gas in a car in 3 years. My husband takes care of everything car related.
