Get the Best with the Philips Avent Comfort Manual Breast Pump

Are you a breastfeeding mom who wants to make sure you have enough milk to store for your little one?

As I have stated before in my posts, I breastfed our youngest for 14 months and will be breastfeeding this new little one as well once she gets here. Philips Avent is a very well known brand in the breastfeeding and baby world.

They have so many different products that they have to offer, but this post is solely focusing on their Philips Avent Comfort Manual Breast Pump.

Benefit of using the Philips Avent Comfort Manual Breast Pump:
I found that this was the easiest and quickest way to be able to pump milk to put in the freezer for our youngest. It's very comfortable to use and doesn't hurt. It's convenient and has no plugs needed to use. All you need to do is attach a couple parts and the bottle of course, and you're ready to pump!

In the package, I received two packs of 2 disposable nursing pads which are very helpful and needed during the early months of nursing and pumping as well, when you leak.

Benefit of the Avent Disposable Nursing Pads:
These Avent nursing pads are a huge life saver in the earlier months of nursing and pumping for moms! They help to prevent any embarrassing leaks of milk by protecting your shirt. I love these. They are nice and soft and are very comfortable to use.

I have always been fond of the Philips Avent brand and was so thrilled when I found out that I was able to represent them on my blog for this campaign. Some moms may respond better to an electric pump which Philips Avent does also have, but I respond best with a manual pump.

I love being able to help other moms find the right product for her. Well, let me tell you all about the Philips Avent Comfort Manual Pump that I received. This particular pump is actually the main one that I used while nursing with our youngest, so I have first hand experience with it and would love to be able to tell you about it more.

This next picture is a good description to show you the handle of the Philips Avent Comfort Manual Pump that is how you use it when pumping your milk. I found a trick that worked very well for me when using this pump, with our youngest.

That trick is to get the manual pump with bottle attached ready and latch baby onto one side, while using the pump on the opposite side at the same time you're nursing. For me, when I tried to use an electric pump, I would only get about 2 - 3 ounces of milk out at a time.

But, when I would use the Philips Avent Comfort Manual Pump, I'd get about 4 - 5 ounces out at a time! I was amazed and from then on out, I only used the manual to make a nice freezer milk stash for him.

This next picture was my final freezer stash of milk when our son turned one in mid May. He finished it off between 13 - 14 months, so it wouldn't spoil not being used which also helped with weaning as well. It's best to use a regular freezer for storing your milk or a deep freezer. Pictured here is about 127 ounces of milk if I remember correctly, which I was happy about!

The neat thing about this pump is that the bottles they use are GREAT! I absolutely love the Philips Avent Natural Bottle. They work awesome, whether you're using the 4 oz size bottle or 9 oz bottle. We have both sizes and they work well for little ones, especially breastfed babies. The nipple on the Natural Bottle is a mimic to that of mom's form, so it works great.

Benefit of the Philips Avent Natural Bottle:
The benefit that I found while using the Natural Bottle with him was that he took to using this bottle quite a bit better and easier than he did with other brands we had tried to use.

This next picture is showing you the part that goes against you while using this manual pump. It makes pumping sessions a lot easier with it being so soft against you, versus the hard plastic instead. It helps make pumping quite a bit easier.

You will feel a pretty strong let down when you nurse at the same time you are pumping on the opposite side, which is one way I think that I got so much out with this pump.
