Are you looking for a great Christmas gift this season for a friend or family member?

I have been really wanting to try out our new 6 Quart pressure cooker, thanks to Cuisinart! My husband went ahead and bought a 3 lb beef brisket and some canned carrots, peas, and french style green beans for it too! I knew I wanted to have a little fun with this post, as I know that my readers enjoy recipe posts too.

I have never had the chance to cook in a pressure cooker, but my mother in law swears by hers! I researched and found the perfect one. I decided to cook it frozen, so I cooked it on High Pressure with the meat only with some water (I added too much but it turned out wonderful), for 30 minutes and then I drained the water from the cans of carrots, french style green beans, and peas and added them into the pressure cooker, and diced up 3 potatoes and tossed those in.

You can cook pretty much ANYTHING in this awesome 6-quart pressure cooker. It comes with a handy recipe book, so take your time looking through it to see what it has that you can make for dinner or a get-together one day! I plan to try out some soups sometime soon in this pressure cooker too.

My favorite features of this 6-quart pressure cooker are that it has:
- A digital thermostat
- Fingerprint proof brushed stainless steel housing
- Easy push-button for the following settings: High/Low Pressure, Saute, Browning, Simmer, and Keep Warm settings
- Cool to the touch side handles
- Non-stick cooking pot
- Cooking pot is very easy to clean. It's dishwasher safe but I only wash it by hand.
- There is a trivet included
-  1,000 watts

And then, I put the pressure cooker on Low Pressure for 30 minutes, and then cut into the meat to ensure that it was thoroughly cooked all the way, and then I set it to keep warm for about an hour until my husband got home. He had a nice big bowl of it and said it turned out, great! To buy one for yourself, a friend, or family member feel free to check it out on Amazon for just $69.99, HERE for the CPC-600 style. They also have the CPC-600 AMZ style for $99.95, HERE!

Doesn't the beef brisket stew look delicious?

  1. We love our slow cooker. The meat comes out so nice and tender, and the house smells great for 8 hours.
