Babies Growth from Birth to One Year

I was asked to write about babies growth between birth and 1 year old.

This is just explaining the different in our 3 kids weights as our older two children were formula fed and our youngest is nursed. Every baby grows at a different rate, no matter what they consume for their main source whether it be formula or breast milk. For our children, they started on baby foods at 4 months old.

Our oldest was born at 34 weeks and was 4 lbs 13 1/2 at birth, and spent 13 days in the NICU. He was about 23 lbs at 13 months old or so. I don't remember his weight during the first year aside from the normal side.

Our middle child was born at 37 1/2 weeks and was 6 lbs 13.4 oz at birth. She came home from the hospital when I did. She was around 22 lbs at 1 year old I think.

Our youngest is breastfed and was born at 37 weeks 4 days and was 8 lbs 5.6 oz at birth. He is 6 1 /2 months old and was 15 1/2 lbs about 2 weeks ago when I checked. He has his 6 month check up in mid December in which I'm sure he's gained more since then.

  1. 34 weeks! What a stressful time that must have been. It's great to track their growth and know that they are growing!
