As a nursing mother, I know how important it is to have the right products to help make it the best experience you can.
As you know, I nurse our infant son and my other double electric pump I have the motor in it isn't very strong like it was for the first two or so months I had it (got it early May), so I thought I could use a different one to increase milk supply, as well as have a second pump to use on hand.
The one that I received from Evenflo is called the Advanced Double Electric Breast Pump, and can be found HERE . It took me awhile to figure out how to get it set up with the tubing, and how to get the suction to work correctly to get the right amount of milk flowing to store in our freezer. Once I figured out how to get it all set up correctly, I was able to pump and let me say I love the bottles it came with! They're great for keeping in the freezer.
I also received some nursing pads which are disposable, which are of great value when breastfeeding. They will help you to not leak through your shirt, as they have a sticky tab for you to use once. These are good to keep stocked up on during the duration of the time you're breastfeeding your baby for. These can be found HERE!
I also received 3 glass bottles in the classic style, and with these I have used them once as I don't use glass bottles for him the one time at night he gets a bottle but I warmed the milk and then placed it in the bottle for him. These bottles can be found HERE!
I also received some milk storage bags in size 5 oz, which are very useful if you need to go back to work or just want a freezer stash at home. I usually measure the milk I have pumped in a bottle, and then pour it carefully into the bag.
The good thing about the Evenflo bags is that they won't leak. I just place a frozen bag in a cup of hot water to thaw and then warm my bottle for him the same way, or I place it in a cup of cold water in the fridge, overnight. These can be found HERE!
I always stocked up with the bags & nursing pads. They are great, and I'd hate to run out!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great system! How does this compare with Medela?
ReplyDeleteI have a Medela Pump In Style Advanced. It was great until month 2 - 2 1/2, when the motor stauled. Sometimes it has strong suction where I can get 8 - 12 oz, and sometimes it's 5 - 6 oz with less suction. It's a top of the line brand, and they have hospital grade pumps. I like Evenflo's pump and will use it when my other one's suction acts up. I pump daily as my son gets a night bottle of pumped milk.
DeleteMy sister in law is due any day now and she plans on breast feeding. I will tell her about this because I remember from when I had kids that Evenflo products are AWESOME.
