A Nice Evening with our kids at Embassy Suites

*Disclaimer - I received a night's stay from Embassy Suites, in order to facilitate this post. All opinions and views in this post are my own.

Are you going on vacation or travel for business, and need a good hotel to stay in?

Let me start off by saying this; if you have never stayed at an Embassy Suites you have to do so. I absolutely love the hotel we stayed at in Virginia. It was beautiful, the whole hotel was very clean, they had great customer service at the front desk to help me out with the details of my review, and there to help as I needed it for information. The one front desk lady actually is from the town I am which was neat but I didn't know her.

Upon arrival at the Embassy Suites in Virginia I let them know that I spoke with a media contact through email and that I was there to pick up my information to help me to facilitate my post for them. They happily found my packet and assigned me 2 room keys for the evening. Since I didn't get out of work until 6pm, we arrived a little after 9pm or so at Embassy Suites, so our kids were tired even though they wanted to swim. I walked into our room to find a nice Washington Redskins beach like bag with my name on it with some goodies in it, along with my gift card to use for dinner in which we went to Olive Garden the next evening.

I was surprised at how spacious Embassy Suites is! I love the hallway and our kids did too. As you can see, it's really nice and clean as well. It had a king size bed as well as a couch that folded out into a bed.

Here's the rest of our room(s). The reason I say rooms is because there is a door separating the room with the double bed and the couch / chair. I absolutely loved the sink and ice bucket part that was in the living area where they couch resided.

The bathroom was nice too, but the only thing I didn't like was that there was only an open shower opposed to a bathtub in the bathroom, but our kids and I didn't end up taking one so it wasn't a big deal for us. The room where I slept had a nice size flat screen TV in it, which I enjoyed watching a movie on ABC Family for an hour or so, and then another channel. It was very clear on the screen, and I would love to get a TV just like it someday. Perfect to lay in bed and watch a movie or TV show on for sure.

Now onto the pool and excersise room portion of our stay at the Embassy Suites! If your kids are anything like mine are, they LOVE to swim. Well, it's all that our kids talked about until we finally took them swimming after breakfast at 7:30am, since the pool opened at 6am. They wasted no time after eating a delicious breakfast, which had a lot of delicious foods to choose from, along with coffee, juices, sodas. All at no extra cost at the hotel, it's included in your stay! It's definitely a lot better than a continential breakfast at other places.

They have a part where you can stand there and order a hot ready to make omelette! I didn't get one, but saw them making other people some, and they looked delicious. They had a jacuzzi, but our kids are only 5 and 6 years old, so I don't allow them to go in there quite yet. They also had a sauna nearby the pool that I sat in for a few minutes as I love saunas! The excersise room had a lot to choose from for adults to use if they wish. I went in there to see what all was there.

  3. Their hotels are amazing! I've only stayed there once and think my next hotel stay would definitely have to be an Embassy Suites hotel stay again because you're right, the customer service is awesome and so is the stay in itself.
