Try the #WaxWorks for Kids at Yankee Candle in Williamsburg, Virginia

*Disclaimer - I received three product coupons to try at the Williamsburg location of Yankee Candle in order to facilitate this review for my readers.

Are you looking for a really nice thing to do with your kids? Head over to Williamsburg, Virginia Yankee Candle!

I was really excited when I found out that I can work with the local Yankee Candle in Williamsburg, Virginia when we traveled there for Thanksgiving!! This is my sister and I's absolute FAVORITE place to go when we go to Williamsburg. We have always enjoyed being able to spend either Christmas or Thanksgiving in Williamsburg.

You'll have to check out HERE to see what type of events the Williamsburg VA location has going on. You can see their specific location website, HERE!

I know many stores sell Yankee Candle candles, but you have NO idea what you're missing out on until you head to this location. This is seriously one of the coolest Yankee Candle stores you'll find. It's the only one I've been to and I have gone to it for years, since I was a kid, and being able to take our kids now twice has been a lot of fun too! They love it there too.

We have been planning to go meet my parents, grandparents, and sister for Thanksgiving in Colonial Williamsburg. We drove from PA, so it was about 6 1/2 - 7 hours from our home, but WELL worth every minute. We had so much fun; we arrived in Williamsburg on Wednesday and left to come home on Saturday. We went to Yankee Candle around noon on Friday which was Black Friday, so it was a bit crowded as you'd expect.

One of mine and my sister's favorite parts about the Yankee Candle store is that every certain amount of minutes in a certain part of the store where there are ornaments and lights and a bridge, there is fake snow that falls, and it's really neat!

Let me tell you all about the Wax Works at Yankee Candle! This is where you can go and make a Yankee Candy, Wax Works Hand(s), and / or Make Your Own Candle. We received three coupon like cards that let our 3 kids get one product each.

Our oldest son and our daughter wanted to get the Wax Works wax hand, so they each did a multi-color single hand. Our youngest is 18 months old, so we helped him make his own candle.

We headed over to let our older two kids do the wax hand first, since the line was a little longer. First off, they put their hand that they wanted to be waxed in icy water and then into the wax with the help of employees of course who thankfully know very well what they are doing.

Next, they headed to the colors and told the employee which color(s) they wanted their wax hand to be, and they helped them to dip it accordingly and it shaped very well once the employee removed the mold from their hand.

Our youngest is too young to understand what we mean by making a candle yet, but we made his for him and he liked the smell when we were done. We put it under a heat lamp that heated the wax all together to make the candle, a candle. The remaining half of the candle will melt as you burn the candle each time. We have made a couple of these before and they are wonderful, and of course our kids love these! They are fun to make for sure.

We headed over to the 'Make Your Own Candle' area for this part of the review and decided to do several scents which smell wonderful by the way! We did some lilac bouquet, confetti, happy holidays, pumpkin patch, and berry berry scents! These were layered and they smell great combined into one candle! The candle is below right before we put it under the light. Once you put it under the light to melt it in a bit, it'll just look like a normal candle top.
