Vacation 2015: Hershey's Chocolate World

*Disclaimer - This is not a post that was in any way sponsored. I chose to do a write up of our trip to Hershey's Chocolate World.

Do you want to take your family somewhere that's a lot of fun and has several things to do? Then keep reading about Hershey's Chocolate World!

Our family took the weekend to go to the Hershey and Lancaster, PA areas to have a little getaway since having our son. It was a lot of fun that started at Hershey's Chocolate World that's located in Hershey, PA. This is everyone's dream city with as much as there is to do.

As we entered Chocolate World, we saw this sign welcoming us to the big building full of fun for everyone of all ages. They have a place outside the building for you to secure your stroller. After the chocolate ride tour, we were able to go get the stroller again as you cannot take it on the ride. The ride is about 15 minutes long and explains how exactly they create Hershey's chocolate bars. Our kids thought the tour ride was fun and they learned how to make chocolate, and of course the smell close to the end was absolutely amazing!

We ended up buying 30 pack of assorted chocolate bars, candy, a Hershey's Syrup piggy bank, and one toy for each of our kids. Our son (baby) got a onesie. The prices of the things at the shop aren't cheap by any means, but it's well worth it for the fun we had as a family!

Hershey's Chocolate World hours of operation can be found HERE! They have different hours for weekends than they do for weekdays, so be sure to look it up before you go. They're also directly across the parking lot from the famous Hershey Park so if you're wanting some fun filled time with family, whether they're kids or adults be sure to check out their hours of operation HERE!

  1. This is one of the places on my bucket list. I would love to visit Hershey facilities and see how chocolate is made. Yum. What was your favorite part? The tour or buying stuff to take home?

    1. Definitely go if you can! I have been once before this trip, and I just LOVE the tour and the smell is awesome. They tell you all about how they make / create / store the chocolate to make into candy bars. It's really neat. I personally loved us getting the kids their things and us some candy best :)

  3. I've ALWAYS wanted to visit! I don't think I could leave without purchasing a lot of candy bars either but I'm not surprised the prices are on the high end.
