5 Things to LOVE About Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort

I will be having some Disney related posts over the next few months which are written by my friend Kelli from Dream Adventures Travel Co.

Caribbean Beach Resort is one of the five choices for moderate resorts in Walt Disney World.

This large resort is situated around a 45-acre lake and features 5 distinct island areas: Barbados, Jamaica, Martinique, Trinidad, and Aruba. This resort just finished several major renovations and will soon also be offering access to the all-new Disney Skyliner transportation system!

This gondola system will provide a birds-eye view for transportation from Caribbean Beach Resort to Epcot and Hollywood Studios beginning this Fall 2019!
If these changes aren’t enough to convince you to stay here on your next trip to Disney World, here are 5 more reasons why we love Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort!

1. Budget Friendly
Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort is historically VERY budget friendly. Often times, your family can stay here for very little more than a value resort cost. For families of 5, this is usually your most budget-friendly option as there are several rooms that offer 2 Queen sized beds and a smaller pull-down bed!

Add in the centralized location and all the added amenities this resort has to offer, this puts Caribbean Beach Resort at the top of our list for our families looking to save a little on their next magical adventure!

2. Pool Areas
Each of the 5 islands of Caribbean Beach Resort offers a pool area nearby. However, it’s the main pool area that draws us in every time! Fuentes del Morro Pool offers a zero- entry Spanish Colonial-themed pool with 2 water slides hidden within this pirate lovers paradise! Have little ones under 48” that just want to splash?

There is a fun shipwreck splash area for you small swashbucklers to do just that close to the main pool! Don’t worry adults! There is plenty for you too! The 12 person hot tub offers just what you need after a long day of walking through the parks! Don’t forget to grab your liquids and enjoy some sounds from the Caribbean at Banana Cabanas right along the pool area!

3. Pirate Themed Rooms
We were lucky enough to snag one of these rooms on our last stay at Walt Disney World! The theming for these rooms is spot on! Every inch of these rooms is perfect for the pirate lover in your family, right down to the wooden barrel refrigerator!

4. Lobby Area
Normally I don’t get too worked up about a lobby area. After all it’s just an area I usually pass through. Then, I saw the changes that Caribbean Beach Resort made to their lobby area! I was blown away by how welcoming and family friendly this area is! There are several sitting areas that surround the check-in desk with comfy couches and chairs throughout!
We visited during the holidays so they had the resort decked out in its holiday best making for a festive environment! Have little ones? No worries They’ve got you covered, your littles can sit and watch their favorite Disney movie or show while you talk with the friendly staff about your stay!

5. Activities, Activities, Activities
Like most resorts, Caribbean Beach Resort offers loads of activities for the whole family to enjoy! Some offerings that are available at some of the other resorts are also available here like movies under the stars, campfire activities, catch and release fishing, playgrounds, bike rentals, and volleyball. This resort also offers a 0.6-mile jogging trail with views of Barefoot Bay.

Unique to this resort is the Pirate Adventure Cruise, on this treasure hunting cruise your little scallywags (ages 4-12) can follow the clues to find the hidden treasure.
With activities, rooms, and areas for the whole family to enjoy this moderate resort is a great option for the family looking for a budget-friendly stay during their next Disney World Adventure!
