Do you know what I hope they are?  I hope that Jon and Kate have decided to halt production on their show, even if it is only for awhile, so that they can focus on their marriage and their family.  There are more than enough episodes of it that TLC could show re-runs and yeah it might put a dent in their finances to give up such a lucrative show, but you can’t put a price on keeping your family together, right?!

Now, while ChitChatMom is hopeful that the major decisions are positive (like halting the show), the hubby thinks it’s more likely that they’ve decided to separate and their going to make a public announcement out of it on the show.  Honestly, that would be just so depressing.  However, he could be right.  They may have just decided to throw in the towel.  And Kate has been really honest about her need to support her family so walking away from the paycheck that each show brings may not feel like an option for her.

It’s also possible that neither ChitChatMom or the hubby’s scenario is true and TLC is just trying to boost ratings again.  This season’s premier episode was huge for them but the ratings for subsequent eps have dropped… so maybe TLC’s just doing whatever they can to keep a slice of the Jon & Kate pie?!

I guess we’ll all have to wait and speculate between now and Monday.  I just hope that whatever decision they’ve made, it’s the right one for their family.
