ChitChatMom.com is a personal blog written by a first time mom.  Navigating the journey to (and through) mommyhood is an exciting, overwhelming and incredibly rewarding time.  This blog shares my experiences as a mom.  The contents are intended to be entertaining and insightful and are based on my experience and the experience of my friends and family.  In some cases names have been changed to help friends and family “save face”.

So who am I?  I’m a married mom in her early 30’s with one child.  My daughter Lily was born in August of 2009 and is the light of my life, and my hubby’s.  Prior to becoming a mom I worked as a marketing coordinator at a television station, as a sponsor producer on a national reality television show and as a writer/internet marketing manager for a shopping news website.  I am now self-employed as a freelance “Jane of All Trades”.  I do web/blog design, internet marketing, social media management, freelance writing.  You name it, I’ll find a way to do it. As a former collegiate cheerleader I have a lot of personality and spunk.  I love spending time with my friends and family and my most important passion is being a mommy to Lily.  I hope that my readers find my blog fun, informative and mostly entertaining.  If you’re interested in my freelance work you can check out my freelance company Pink Umbrella Media online at www.pinkumbrellamedia.com.

To keep the lawyers happy, it should be known that the content on ChitChatMom.com is intended as entertainment.  Content such as product reviews and brand reviews are solely the opinion of ChitChatMom.com.  If a product has been provided to ChitChatMom.com at no cost in exchange for a product or brand review, ChitChatMom.com will make that clear within the content of the review.  Just like other moms I like to know if I’m being “pitched” a product, keeping in mind that just because I am being “pitched” doesn’t mean that product isn’t of great quality and worth purchasing.  But come on… we all like to know if what we’re really reading is advertising.

From time to time ChitChatMom.com will utilize great content from other websites and blogs… but always, always, always, will tell you where that great content is coming from. ChitChatMom believes in giving credit where credit is due.  I don’t want my great original content being ripped off and used by someone else under their name… so I’m going to assume no one else wants that either.
