Making New Friends
Firstly, one of the best things about getting your kids to do out of school activity is that they get to meet new people their own age and make friends.  Its is always a good idea to give your child the chance to have a friendship group outside of the school setting. Attending after school clubs are a very good way of developing your child's social skills. This is because they are put in situations with people they might not choose and are expected to get on with them. Clubs like this can teach them to listen to others, to cooperate, and to be respectful of others differences. As the kids that go to these clubs, will be sharing a passion and creating memories, they can lead to lifelong friendships.

Working Towards A Goal
Out of school activities like Brownies, football, or karate teach the value of goal setting and achieving your targets. They are designed around and provide support for setting a goal, breaking it down into manageable tasks and then working towards it. They also reward children for achieving their goals with badges, trophies, or belts. Yes, there is some controversy over whether achievements should be rewarded in this way. But remember that a ceremony or prize which celebrates the child's achievements and can boost their self-esteem.

If your child is in a group that doesn't provide a marker of achievement like a medal or trophy you may want to suggest this. It is not expensive or time-consuming to organize, and sites on like these offer the cheapest trophies to buy online. If it is a matter of organization, you could volunteer yourself for this. Remember kids keep their medals and trophies on into adulthood and they can be a really important part of their youth.Firstly, one of the best things about getting your kids to do out of school activity is that they get to meet new people their own age and make friends.

Time Away From The Computer
Another key benefit of out-of-school activities is that it gets them away from the computer. Its is a fact of life today that children are more sedentary . They also spend long periods of time in front of computer screens. Games, iPads, and mobile phones are all things that most kids wouldn't have had 20 years ago. This makes getting out of the house and moving around can particularly important.
