The purpose of this post is to help bring awareness to a petition that needs more signatures that will hopefully get Loving Day put as a Federal Day. Also, be sure to keep an eye out on the upcoming movie Loving as I'm sure I'll be bringing you more information as I get it.
Loving Day this year (June 12th) – which commemorate the 1967 US Supreme Court decision between the Lovings vs Virginia, which struck down all US State Laws banning interracial marriage – mainly between non-whites and whites. Our upcoming film, based on the Lovings, releases later this fall in November.
The first clip can be viewed here. It premiered earlier this month at the Cannes Film Festival. I'm very excited to help spread the word about this new petition to hopefully make the day an official Federal Day.

Their civil rights case, Loving v. Virginia, went all the way to the Supreme Court, which in 1967 reaffirmed the very foundation of the right to marry – and their love story has become an inspiration to couples ever since.
