#CookingwithGerber Can be Fun with Nestle' Gerber Cereal

*Disclaimer - This is a project of The Women Bloggers and Kendal King Group on behalf of their client, Gerber, for a #SoapboxInfluence project, and I am being compensated for writing this post, and was provided with the products in this post as well.

I know, Gerber is the go to brand of baby foods, cereals, oatmeal, and snacks for babies!

Through sharing with you all about these amazing baby food products, I want you to know that you don't need to solely JUST use them as baby foods, but you can use them in a fun baby friendly recipe! Not sure what I mean? Keep reading to see!

Our youngest is almost a year old and he still enjoys the cereal with little bites in it, as well as 2nd and 3rd foods that Gerber makes for babies.

They have a lot of products actually, so take a look the next time you head to Walmart. Speaking of Walmart, did you know that you can find the 4 Nestle Gerber products that I received to talk all about, just at your local Walmart store? More times than not, they are usually on a very good sale. We end up stocking up in case we will need more before the month is over!

The 4 Nestle Gerber products that I want to talk with you about are:
- Oatmeal Cereal Single-Grain
- Oatmeal and Banana Cereal
- Multigrain Cereal

- Lil' Bits Oatmeal Banana Strawberry

I tend to make muffins for my husband and kids with adding 1/2 cup of milk and stirring it up and baking as instructions say to do. Well, I mixed it up a bit to make a recipe with the items that I received for this post!

Recipe great for older babies:
Muffin mix - I used mixed berry flavor and added a cup of the Lil' Bits Oatmeal Banana Strawberry to it to add some flavor to it for him. He had never had a muffin before, and LOVES it!

I also made a recipe for the yogurt snacks specially made for babies, with the mixed berries yogurt blends and Lil' Bites Oatmeal Banana Strawberry. He loves the combination, but I don't think he's quite ready for the yogurt like I thought he was initially.

The yogurt blends that were received are:
- Mixed Berries
- Peaches
- Strawberry Banana

Also, something that I wanted to try out with him to see a different use for baby food was mixing the peaches in with applesauce. He seemed to really enjoy that combination as well. These foods included in the picture below are 2nd foods and are 4 oz containers, made by Gerber.

The 2nd foods that were received are:
- Butternut Squash (he loves these)
- Peaches
- Apple Strawberry Banana
- Apples
- Mixed Vegetables

These are great for making other

  5. I used to mix oatmeal in Noah's applesauce all the time. It made it thicker. He didn't even notice. I did it even when he was a toddler.

  14. Super idea! Using the fortified ingredients from Gerber boosted the nutritional value of these tasty treats! The Gerber cereals make super subs for breadcrumbs, etc. in meatballs, meat loaves. I use it as a sub for flour in the breading I use for chicken fried chicken. Worked great! Thanks for sharing.
