I am a long time fan of Cuisinart products, and when I use to work at a retail store in 2009 and part of 2010, I had a lot of customers buy Cuisinart items on a very regular basis. In 2010, I bought a Cuisinart.com sandwhich maker and I love it! I am just showing how high of quality their products are and how long they do last when well taken care of. I still use it to this day on a weekly basis and it's in good shape.

I used the food processor portion of this trio to blend some of our youngest's foods to make into baby food, such as carrots, green beans, peas, and mixed fruits. It was easy to use and worked a lot better than a baby food maker does. He likes the fresh fruits / vegetables and canned ones that I blend better than the jars and containers of foods, even though he gets both on a daily basis. It's better for them to have the fresh kind, but both are fine.

The product I received for reviewing on my Valentine's Day gift guide is known as the Velocity Ultra Trio which is a blender/food processor, and includes 2 travel cups with lids. This is my absolute favorite product so far that I have owned, honestly! I have had this blender / food processor for about 3 days and have used it daily since I got it. It can even chop up ice!

Our kids have wanted smoothies with it, so that's what I have used it for mainly. Below, I will show you just how the blender works for smoothies, using the travel cups and the attachment part for the blender that screws onto the top part of the cup to be able to blend it right there in your cup! This is very convenient to use, and I love it! It's very high tech compared to other blenders that we have had in the past, that's for sure.

This one has an on/off button that you press once after it's turned on, and then you click the cup into place so that it's secure. Next, you'll press the Smoothie button and watch your berries or fruit / vegetables turn into a lovely smoothie for you to drink! And, then awesome thing about this option is that it will automatically stop when it's finished blending it into a smoothie, and then you just press the on/off button to turn it off.

The final picture below is the finished product, which is my strawberry/blueberry smoothie, in which I added some whole milk and vanilla ice cream to it to make it a little sweet! It's delicious I'm telling you! Our kids love the smoothies too. I made my husband a smoothie, but for his, I used frozen mixed fruits which included: pineapple, orange, peaches, strawberry, and blueberry. For his, I added some whole milk and a couple scoops of vanilla ice cream as I did with ours. He said that it tasted different, but that it was pretty good.

The next picture of course is the smoothie in the travel cup with the lid ready to drink! I have enjoyed about 4 or 5 smoothies with this Velocity Ultra Trio so far, and many more will follow. It has a container of fresh strawberries behind the cup that I used for my smoothie.

  5. Those single serve cups look so handy! I love that you can put them directly on the blender base and not have to clean an entire blender just for one smoothie.
