Vacation 2015: Dutch Wonderland Amusement Park

*Disclaimer - I received complimentary tickets for our family to facilitate this review for Dutch Wonderland. All opinions are that of my own.

Are you looking for a very kid friendly amusement park that has great rides for kids of all ages and prices that you can't pass up? Then keep reading!

Our family took a vacation trip to Lancaster, PA and went to several attractions. One of which was the amazing amusement park for families known as Dutch Wonderland. I received 4 complimentary tickets for my husband, myself, and two kids to be able to review our fun filled day at Dutch Wonderland.

As you can see below, you can choose which parking area to use. We chose the far side as it was free and we knew we were going to be there all day and evening. The closer parking costs $10. I had to go to Guest Services to pick up our tickets for the day. The line to get in the entrance gate wasn't long at all, so we got in fairly quickly after 10am when the park opened.

The entrance to the park is a castle and in the park is a kids biggest amount of fun! You don't find many amusement parks that are good for kids of all ages, but this park is a family friendly one.

After a full day at riding rides with our kids, and taking care of our youngest, we decided to get lunch at the buffet area which was a really nice place to eat. After lunch, we headed to the slower rides such as the Gondola which was a nice relaxing ride to go on, and I nursed our son on the ride since it was a 10 - 15 minute boat ride.

Next, we headed to Duke's Lagoon which is a water area with a dual water ride that a raft is on, where two people can ride at once. Duke's Lagoon is a lot of fun for kids! There are water slides that even adults can go on, as well as a splash like area where the water pops up when you walk over it. We spent a couple hours at the water area, and just so you know to be able to ride the water ride with the raft you will need to wear water shoes or sandals, so we had to buy some sandals for our kids and us to have.

  1. Dutch Wonderland looks like a fun park! I'm not too far away, but I just haven't been able to make it there. I hope to change that soon!

  8. These off the beaten path amusement parks are so fun and interesting. I live at Disney World so there are none of these around me. We had something similar in Oklahoma that I always enjoyed. I'd visit Dutch Wonderland in a heartbeat.
