Family Christian: In the Name of God DVD

*Disclaimer - I received the product in this post from Family Christian in order to facilitate this review for my readers.

Are you looking for a great movie that shows compassion and forgiveness towards those who wrong you? This is the movie to get if you are.

My husband and I enjoy watching religious (Christian based) movies and this one is another great one to add to our collection. I love being able to work with Family Christian on reviews of their awesome products. I was selected to be able to review this DVD title as being part of their blogger program.

This movie is about a troubled 17 year old boy named Mason who feels unwanted and unloved, is in foster care and was sent to a new foster home, who lost their son Jack previously so initially their son (Nate) of the foster parents was very mad that they'd even consider allowing a teenager to be there, because he felt like they were trying to replace his brother. When Mason first got to their home, he was rebellious and snuck out, and found himself already in trouble because he went to a store of a Christian lady and bought spray paint from her shop.

That night, he vandalized the wall of her store outside. She initially pressed charges, and he had to attend a support group to avoid going to a juvenile detention center as he had no more chances, and then she decided to drop charges and allow him to work for her at the store for free for 2 months. Mason learned through the support group meetings that when there's no respect, there is no peace. In the end, forgiveness is given and friendships last and form, and he gains a paying job through the pastor of a local church.

  1. This sounds like a great movie. Hubby used to work with foster children, so I'm sure he would enjoy it.

  2. This is very interesting. We don't watch movies but if they made it a book I'd definitely read it. I will however tell others about it who I know that watch movies.
