The moment that we have all been anticipating is finally arriving on Blu-ray and DVD - Maleficent, on November 4! This would make a great Christmas present for Disney lovers that's for sure.
Oh yes, the moment we have ALL been waiting for has finally arrived! That's right, Maleficent will be on Disney DVD and Blu-ray soon - November 4, and I can't tell you how awesome this movie is. I wasn't able to go see it while it was in theatres, but was fortunate that I was able to get it to review. I've seen it a good four times now or so, and love it. Angelina Jolie is my favorite actress of all times, and she does a wonderful job playing Maleficent, and Elle Fanning did a great job with playing the part of Aurora (Sleeping Beauty). I had not seen Elle's acting before and thought she did a very good job, especially with the part of Aurora with Maleficent. I love how they portrayed Maleficent in the movie as so serious, yet had a on and off sense of humor too. She came across as seriously disliking babies / children, and grew to be more fond of her (Aurora) as time went on.
And when Aurora was a baby, Maleficent came in and told her parents and others who were around that by sunset on her 16th birthday, she will prick her finger on a spindle of a spinning wheel, and fall into a deep deep sleep and not wake back up. Of course that scared the parents, but it happened as she said, except that she did awaken from her deep sleep with a true love's kiss. You will just have to wait and see what happens throughout the movie, I don't want to give it all away! Sleeping Beauty was always a family favorite growing up in my house, so I know this one will be a huge hit as well.
