Holiday post - Christmas 2012

How was everyone's Christmas? I hope everyone had a great time with your families this year, and your kids enjoyed their gifts and time with family. We stayed at home for our morning gifts and fun, then headed out to go to my parents' home for some breakfast and gifts, and ended at my Grandma's house for a nice lunch and gifts there. All in all, they had a great day and it was full of fun and love.

My kids woke up at like 7:15am, so I called my dad to come over to watch the kids open their gifts since they asked him to do so with them again this year. My son who is 5, woke up yelling "It's Christmas get up"! I said "Go wake your Daddy up, then your sister". So, he jumped on our bed and said "Daddy get up, come on it's Christmas". He screamed in his sister's room, and said "Come on, Santa brought us lots of presents. We gotta go open them".  My dad came over after 8am, and they immediately ran to their gifts. They loved the bigger ones, because our son got his first real Craftsman toolbox and tools that we got him.

I got some movies I was wanting for Christmas - some Lifetime movies, Law and Order SVU seasons 2 & 13, and Magic Mike, and Secret Life of the American Teenager season 7.

What did you guys do for Christmas that you'd like to share?

  1. These look like great gifts!! We got a funny gift from the kids grandparents. . . they are ALWAYS complaining and mad that technology is taking over the world and that we are all on our phones too often, so they gave us a real product that is a cell phone jail box where they can lock our phones and set the digital timer for as long as they want. Too funny...

We hung out at home, had a few over in the late after noon. Mostly, we took it easy- it was a MUCH needed relaxation day!
