So ChitChatMom quit her job. It’s true I did it. I hadn’t planned to when we first got pregnant. I couldn’t see walking away from a good paying job but when we started adding up the cost of child care, wear and tear on the car, gas, eating out, work attire… it all added up to more than 50% of my take home pay and that just didn’t make sense. So I’m about to become a “Stay at Home Mom.” Only thing is, the baby girl isn’t set to arrive for another nine and a half weeks. So I’ll be prospecting for freelance work and working on a couple of projects in the meantime. You see, I won’t just be staying at home with the baby girl, I’ll be staying at home with the baby girl and trying to freelance part time. Which I am very excited about. I figure if I can bring in 45% of what I was making in my job that expires tomorrow, then I’m having my cake and eating it too. I’m also looking forward to kicking ChitChatMom into full gear and adding video posts and perhaps multiple posts per day. Ooo what fun!
So I’m wondering mamas… did you quit your job to do full time “mom-ing”?
